Automated Waste Segregator: The smart bin is divided into three compartments. The first compartment segregates plastic and metal wastes
using an IR sensor and a metal detector. The second compartment segregates dry and wet wastes using an IR
sensor and a moisture sensor. The third compartment collects the segregated wastes. The whole system is
controlled by an Atmega 328-P Micro controller. An ESP8266 module sends notifications to users about the
level of waste in each of the bins. This module also sends notifications if one of the bins is full. The
notifications are sent through Thinkspeak platform. Each device is given a unique token, login ID, and
password. This allows users to monitor the level of the dustbin from anywhere and anytime.
Vehicle Engine Health Monitoring Using Sensor Nodes:
The system monitors the level of engine oil in the primary tank and pumps oil from the secondary tank if the
level falls below a certain level. It also sends notifications to the users if the oil level is too low or too high, or if
the pressure inside the tank is too high or too low. The system uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect the level of
engine oil, a pump to transfer oil from the secondary tank to the primary tank, a pressure sensor to measure
the pressure inside the tank, and a microcontroller to control the pump and the pressure sensor. The system
can send notifications through Bluetooth or IoT.
